Hello guys! its getting warmer in Houston and this can only mean opening back my calendar for outdoor shoots. I am planning to type up a COVID-19 Protocol blog post up next to present to you guys how i will be handling sessions and client interaction moving forward during these uncertain times.

Outdoor Locations

I provide my clients with the cutest outdoor locations. They all provide what you are longing for, that perfect light! I choose all my favorite locations to fit our needs of morning and afternoon light and with a ton of open shade. Most babies are happier in the morning so it is essential my locations work for morning babies too!

Wardrobe

Wardrobe always makes or breaks your photo shoot. I always encourage my clients to take the time to shop around one or two outfit changes plus a cake smash outfit. If you love to shop online, make sure to give your self enough time to make sure you get what you order and that you love the pieces and the fit. I love to match patterns and textures. Monotones like in this session are also very dreamy and timeless.

Props

I have collected a variety of props over the years. This golden chair is the most requested piece i own. Its very timeless, its the perfect shade of gold and the perfect amount of vintage. All my pieces are unisex and can be used by both boys and girls equally. I allow the use of balloons, i do not provide them but parents are always more than welcome to bring them. Everything you see in this session i provided except the pumpkins mom brought to use for her October baby.

The Cake

The cake is a very important part of the cake smash. I let parents choose the cake to their like and budget. Naked cakes and cakes with floral pieces are very popular right now. Don’t forget you cake topper, that is a cake statement piece that allows you to show case your theme. The cake smash set up is all provided by me as well. I design each cake smash for each client based on their idea boards. Parents are always allowed to bring sentimental pieces to use.
