How to prepare for your newborn session

Hi Welcome back!

As many of you know I am an in home travel photographer. I travel to my clients homes and I do the newborn sessions there. I lug around my travel studio so my clients have the same amazing studio experience but they get to do this in the comfort of their own home. There is also some prep work that goes along with having the session at home you just don’t have to pack the bags and get out. Here are some frequently asked questions I get asked a lot:

My baby is here what do I do know?

Once your baby arrives you will contact me by email or text message and I will provide you with the best time frame for your session. Many factors go into me picking the best time for your baby. We schedule a date and the day before the session we will go over feeding prep for session date.

Do I have to clean the house?  

Absolutely not! You just had a baby. I am a mother of 3 myself and I know how hard this is and I been through this. I only need a dark corner in your home to work. If you are planning on doing a lifestyle session we at least have to tidy up the master bedroom, living space and baby nursery.

Do I have to provide anything for the session?

Nope, I bring everything for the session. I bring my light system, beanbag, backdrops, outfits, wraps, hats and headbands. I also bring a floor piece to use with props like baskets, buckets and more. I will only ask you to let me know what colors you would like me to use and I bring it all.

Can my pet be part of the session?

Of course! I am not lying if I tell you that this is the main reason why I get hired 😉 The fur babies are part of the family too and most studios wont allow pets.
